The levada walk from Rabacal is one of the most gorgeous adventures you can experience.
The place, luxuriant vegetation, birds, flowers streams, and waterfalls. Just pure nature, the silence, the energy, the feeling. Fantastic emotions in just a day.
This is an area of nature reserve Parque and we start by walking to Risco waterfall and after a downhill climb to the lower Levada from the 25 waterfalls (25 Fontes) then on to this divine place with a stunning sound of all waterfalls. a break here for a picnic and swimming if you wish. On the way back along the Levada we still have the challenge of going threw a tunnel (800) and coming out on the south side of the island with a breathtaking sea view. Walking a few minutes after the tunnel we reach the carpark where our driver will be awaiting us. On the journey back a break for coffee or a beer is welcome.
