This is a linear walking trail that starts in the small town of Lombo do Mouro and crosses the Levada do Lombo do Mouro to Furnas, on the island of Madeira. The first stage is a descent through the houses and farmland, on a footpath, which takes us towards Furnas, walking over an imposing green landscape that dazzles and fascinates us. When you reach Furnas, half of your walk is done, and you’ll head back the way you came, but remember that you’ll now be traveling up a physically demanding climb to Lombo do Mouro, situated at an altitude of 1,250 meters.
